My name is Jacob Bramlet, and I’ve spent my entire life around construction and home improvement projects.
My dad was a self-employed contractor, so job sites were familiar to me from an early age. I grew up watching how homes were built and repaired. I learned early that good work takes patience, skill, and accountability.
By high school, I knew I wanted to work with my hands. Traditional classrooms never felt like the place where I could make a real impact. With the help of a great high school principal, I found an alternative program that allowed me to start learning a trade while still earning my diploma.
By the time I was 16, I was already working in construction, learning framing and drywall from experienced professionals on large residential projects. That hands-on experience shaped how I approach every remodel today.
As my career progressed, I worked for large remodeling companies, including national brands. While I gained valuable technical experience, I became frustrated with how the industry often operated. Customer service was inconsistent. Employees were pushed to rush jobs. Homeowners were sold temporary fixes and told they were long-term solutions.
That never sat right with me.
